Biography

Sean Galuszka, a multifaceted actor, singer/songwriter, and performer, hails from Central New York, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Acting and Directing from Syracuse University. During his academic tenure, he spent a semester abroad at the prestigious London Royal Studios, where he studied Classical theatre, Shakespeare, Fringe theatre, and music.

Upon graduating, Galuszka landed the lead role of "Jean" in the critically acclaimed PBS American Playhouse presentation of MISS JULIE. Following the project's wrap, he embarked on an ambitious journey, traveling across the United States, covering a twenty-state tour in ten months. He packed a VW van and performed his unique blend of spoken word and acoustic rock from New York City to Houston to Los Angeles, playing guitar and entertaining audiences along the way.

Galuszka's talents have also been showcased on television, with a guest-starring role as "Garth", a local rocker, on ABC's MIRACLES. The show's producer, David Greenwalt, was so impressed with Galuszka's original music that the show licensed two of his songs.

In addition to his growing list of credits, Galuszka wrote, produced, and starred in the award-winning short film HOW MUCH, which screened in Los Angeles at Laemmle's Sunset 5 Theater in October 2001, alongside Girlfight. The film was under consideration for the 2001 Academy Awards for Best Dramatic Short and was voted Audience Favorite at both the Los Angeles International Film Festival and CineVegas. It also earned the Grand Jury Prize at the Atlantic City Film Festival, with Susan Lambert directing the dark comedy-drama.

Galuszka's performance broke box office records in the LA premiere smash hit The Complete Works Of Wm Shkspr (Abridged) at the Globe Playhouse, which became Los Angeles' longest-running comedy. A special performance of the hilarious Romeo and Juliet segment was requested in Washington D.C. for Tipper and Vice President Al Gore. He also starred as "Feste" in An Appalachian Twelfth Night, Dancing Barefoot's second major Shakespeare project. Robert L. Williams' original adaptation aligned rich, traditional mountain music with the poetry of Shakespearean verse by setting Twelfth Night in an isolated coal-mining town in the 1930s. The show earned a Drama Critic's Circle nomination, as well as remaining on the LA Times Critic's Choice for its entire run.
