Shannon's life story began in Tampa, Florida, where he was born into a loving family that recognized his exceptional abilities and encouraged him to pursue his dreams without restraint. From a young age, Shannon sensed a divine calling in his life, which further solidified his determination to achieve his goals.
As he entered his teenage years, Shannon became increasingly certain that he wanted to become an actor, and his passion only intensified as he grew older. After completing high school, he enrolled at Florida A&M University, where he was also a member of the esteemed Florida A&M Rattlers football team. During his time at university, Shannon earned his Bachelor's Associates degree in Graphic Design, a testament to his versatility and dedication to his studies.
Despite facing challenges and setbacks during his college years, particularly while playing football, Shannon's unwavering desire to act only served to motivate him further, and he made a conscious effort to utilize every skill he possessed to achieve his goals. It was during this period that he met Kim Kirby, a woman who would play a pivotal role in discovering and nurturing his talents.
Kim's encouragement and support sparked the interest of Cariece Peck, a public relations representative who would go on to become Shannon's manager. Under her guidance, Shannon continued to hone his craft through various classes, workshops, and training sessions, ultimately leading to an audition with the renowned Tyler Perry Studios.
Shannon's big break came when he landed his first acting role as Dr. Wallace in the hit stage play "Madea's Big Happy Family." He humbly considers this moment to be the turning point in his career, and he is eternally grateful for every opportunity he has to work on set, appreciating the privilege of being a working actor.
