Shaun Cassidy is a multifaceted American creative force, excelling as a singer, actor, writer, and producer. Throughout his illustrious career, he has developed and/or produced numerous television series, such as "American Gothic", co-produced with the acclaimed Sam Raimi, "Roar", which featured a then-unknown Heath Ledger, "Cold Case", "Cover Me", "The Agency", "Invasion", and "Emerald City". Additionally, Cassidy penned and executive produced "Hysteria" for Amazon, and currently serves as executive producer and writer for the popular NBC series "New Amsterdam".
Born and raised in Los Angeles and New York City, Cassidy's talent was evident from a young age. While still in high school, he signed a contract with Warner Brothers records, leading to the release of three multi-platinum albums, numerous top ten hits, and sold-out concerts at every major arena in the country, including the iconic Houston Astrodome and New York's Madison Square Garden.
Almost concurrently, Cassidy's acting career took off when he starred in the ABC television series "The Hardy Boys Mysteries". Later, he appeared on Broadway in the hit musical drama "Blood Brothers", where he wrote his first television pilot, "American Gothic". Upon the show's debut, The New York Times praised it as "The most original new show of the season".
In 2020, Cassidy returned to the stage with his one-man show "The Magic of a Midnight Sky", performing to sold-out crowds nationwide, marking his first live music performance in almost forty years.
