This pivotal move would ultimately shape the trajectory of his life, as Shawn's family decided to return to China in 2008, allowing him to pursue his passion for the film industry at the prestigious Beijing Film Academy.
Upon his acceptance, Shawn's film career began to take shape in 2010 with a starring role in the critically acclaimed film "Under the Hawthorn Tree," directed by the renowned Yimou Zhang.
As his career continued to flourish, Shawn's impressive performances earned him numerous awards and accolades, solidifying his position as a rising star in the industry.
In 2015, his career reached new heights with starring roles in a string of successful films, including "Time to Love," "To the Fore" alongside Eddie Peng and Siwon Choi, "Log Out" with Blake Lively and Adrien Brody, and the Chinese blockbuster "Wolf Totem."
