Person Biography:
Shawn Parr, known as the "Ambassador of Country Music," is a renowned figure in the Los Angeles country music scene, with over 20 years of involvement. Born and raised in Norwalk, California, he attended John Glenn High School and spent his youth in Orange County.
Parr's career began at local dance venues, and he soon transitioned to television as the warm-up personality for the TV show "Hot Country Nights." He became the announcer for the Academy of Country Music Awards and later joined the KZLA Morning Show and mid-day shift.
In addition to his radio work, Parr has also acted in films such as "Lucky You" and "Waist Deep." He has also lent his voice to various awards shows, including the Golden Globes, California Speedway, and the American Music Awards, for which he has been the voice for 16 years.
Parr is also heavily involved in public appearances, frequently visiting locations such as Cowboy Country, Montana's, and KKGO events. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has hosted his own annual golf tournament benefiting the John Tracy Clinic.
