Shawntay Dalon, along with her five sisters and two brothers, was blessed with a loving family, having been born to the late Elijah and Marie. This vibrant family of nine was raised on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, where they grew up together, sharing in each other's joys and challenges.
Shawntay and her identical twin sister, Janay, were particularly close, and their bond was strengthened as they attended the prestigious Detroit High School for the Fine & Performing Arts. Shawntay's passion for drama led her to major in this field, while Janay, her twin, pursued a major in music, their individual talents complementing each other beautifully.
Interestingly, this same high school was also attended by Shawntay's childhood idol, the talented Aaliyah, who greatly inspired her. After graduating from Finney High School, Shawntay went on to further her education at Wayne State University, where she majored in Speech Communications and Theater.
