Shedrack Anderson III is a multifaceted individual with a plethora of talents, including acting, dancing, singing, entrepreneurship, and writing/directing. He made his mark in the entertainment industry with his breakout role as a lost boy in Steven Spielberg's film "Hook".
Subsequently, Anderson starred in the NBC hit teen series "Just Deal" as the lovable Jermaine Green, and later became a household name with the success of "Fat Albert", a production by The Fox. He then went on to star in numerous films and television shows, including "Gracie's Choice", "Warriors of Virtue 2", "Stompin'", and "Phil of the Future", among many others.
Anderson's extensive education includes attending the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he received several honors, including the Ahmanson Scholarship, ASB President, and Emerging Artist of the Year Award from PBS. He later attended the prestigious Juilliard School in New York, studying Dance and Music.
As a dancer, Anderson was a principal dancer for Ballet Hispanico of New York and served as an assistant choreographer for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. He has also directed seven Hollywood feature films, earning nominations for an ovation, prism, and an ensemble Emmy award.
Anderson is also a prolific musician, with multiple charting albums to his credit. He has been featured on numerous networks, including NBC, CBS, ABC, and has made a lasting impact on the Hollywood scene. Additionally, he is an accomplished martial artist, holding 16 national and state championship titles.
In the business world, Anderson has thrived with multiple Pilates and wellness studios in Los Angeles and Dallas. He was also a co-founder and executive of Chilyo Skincare, in partnership with Scapa Healthcare Worldwide.
As a passionate advocate for arts education, Anderson has taught the arts to over 350,000 disadvantaged children nationwide through various programs, including the National Sports and Arts in Education, Jewish Community Center, USA boxing, and Primeros Pasos. He has also served as a former Chairman of the Board for the North Texas Performing Arts Counsel.
Anderson frequently teaches master classes at esteemed institutions such as The Juilliard School, The Joffrey Ballet School, and Texas Ballet Theatre School. He is a proud member of the Los Angeles County High School For The Arts Foundation Board and has been married to celebrity Pilates instructor Kathryn Hunt Anderson since 2010. They have one daughter together.
