Japanese actor Shōji Ōki was born on September 27, 1936, in the lovely city of Numazu, situated within the scenic Shizuoka prefecture, Japan. As a highly respected thespian, Ōki's extensive body of work in film comprises a wide range of notable roles, featuring his standout performances in the highly acclaimed "Yojimbo" (1961),the hauntingly beautiful "Kuroneko" (1968),and the sports drama "Mr. Baseball" (1992).
