Silvia Busuioc was born in Chisinau, Moldova, where she initially began her career as a dancer and TV host before transitioning into acting, initially appearing in short films.
Later, she relocated to Italy, where she graduated from Milan State University, and further expanded her work into theater and television projects for Italy's RAI, Channel 5, and Sky, leveraging her fluency in five languages: Romanian, Russian, Italian, German, and English.
In 2012, Academy Award winner Martin Landau extended an invitation to Silvia to be a guest at The Actors Studio in Hollywood, where she continued her training alongside coaches in London and Italy.
Silvia recently concluded filming as the lead in 'BELLA GERMANIA', a historical three-part mini-series for Bavaria Films, scheduled to premiere in early 2019.
Her feature film credits include 'THE SNOWMAN', directed by Tomas Alfredson, starring Michael Fassbender, J.K. Simmons, and Rebecca Ferguson.
Silvia has also made guest appearances on FOX's 'LETHAL WEAPON' and HBO's Emmy Award-winning show 'VEEP'.
In addition, she has appeared in the film 'Il RAGAZZO INVISIBILE - FRATELLI', directed by Academy Award-winning director Gabriele Salvatores.
Silvia's television credits include the TV mini-series 'GOTTHARD', directed by Urs Egger, Switzerland's biggest budget TV production ever, in which she played the challenging role of Leo, a girl who disguises herself as a boy to work as a laborer during the construction of Gotthard Tunnel.
She also starred as the lead in RAI 1 TV-series 'FUORICLASSE', directed by Riccardo Donna, which garnered 6 million viewers per episode.
Furthermore, Silvia had a supporting lead role in 'SELFIE 69', directed by Cristina Lacob, a Romanian romantic comedy that won several awards and became the most watched Romanian film of the last twenty-six years.
