Simon Anthony was born in North Hollywood, California, and spent his formative years in Houston, Texas. He cherishes the memories of his childhood, particularly the nights he and his older brother would eagerly await the flickering reflections on their family's garage door in NoHo, convinced that they were watching the screen of the nearby drive-in movie. Though it might have been just his imagination, those nights sparked a fascination with movie screens, the actors who inhabit them, and the nearby film industry.
As a young adult, Simon found himself immersed in the world of Hollywood, working alongside the very actors he had once idolized and on the big screens that had captivated him in his youth. His decade-long journey in Tinseltown was marked by numerous accomplishments, including his time as a company member at The Actors' Gang Theatre in Los Angeles, California, under the guidance of Artistic Director and film actor Tim Robbins.
During his seven-year tenure with the Gang, Simon toured the country in the original play "Embedded," penned by Robbins himself. He also appeared in a critically acclaimed production of "Tartuffe," directed by Jon Kellam, which garnered rave reviews from the Hollywood Reporter, Backstage, and the Los Angeles Times. The latter praised his "strong support" and his scenes with scene partner Lindsley Allen, noting that they "attained absolute lunacy."
Simon's impressive resume also includes an invitation to perform in a two-person play at the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, accompanied by the live background music of the L.A. Philharmonic Orchestra. Furthermore, he has lent his voice as the narrator for the new IMAX film "Train Time," currently playing in theaters across the United States and Canada.
