Simon Nader Mirza is a multifaceted British actor of mixed Middle Eastern and Mediterranean heritage, boasting a versatile career spanning theatre, film, television, and voice-overs. He is also a seasoned UK television presenter, having worked with ITV, and a skilled theatre director.
Simon's educational background includes attending school in Harrow, followed by a degree in English and Drama from Queen Mary College, University of London. He then furthered his training in acting at The Academy Drama School, graduating in 2004 with a scholarship from The Stage.
Throughout his theatre career, Simon has had the opportunity to work on numerous productions, including the Number 1 tours, where he played the role of George in Of Mice and Men, Billy in Billy Blister's Circus at Watford Palace Theatre, Maggie's End at The Shaw Theatre, Gavin Robertson's critically acclaimed The Other Side, and Qudz for The National Theatre Studio.
Simon's television credits include SAG-nominated mini-series Houdini, Emmy-nominated World Without End, The Last Kingdom, The Borgias, Strike Back, and Urban Legends. His feature film work includes British features Age of Kill, Ironclad, Hamlet, Kenau, and The Dead Inside, which was released in the USA under the title Infected.
As a voice artist, Simon has had the opportunity to work on numerous Radio 4 plays and commercials.
In addition to his acting and directing career, Simon is a highly trained kick-boxer, holding a black belt and being trained in Taekwondo and Aikido. He also holds advanced level fight certificates in Rapier and Dagger, Single Rapier, Knife, and Unarmed Combat from the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat.
Furthermore, Simon has also ventured into theatre direction, with his credits including a sell-out run of David Haig's My Boy Jack and the London production of Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood's comedy The Revengers.
