Born in Chicago, Illinois, Skye is a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having served with distinction and honor. Following her enlistment, she returned to her hometown where she graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Media & Theatre (CMT Program). She then relocated to New York City, where she pursued her passion for acting by training at the prestigious Stella Adler Studio of Acting and Broadway Dance Center, all while working full-time at a pharmaceutical marketing firm. However, it soon became clear that a cubicle was not her ideal work environment, and she made the courageous decision to leave her corporate job to focus on her dreams of becoming a professional actress in TV and Film.
Skye's impressive acting career has taken off, with notable roles in several prominent television shows. She will star alongside Academy Award winner Kathy Bates in CBS's new drama Matlock, and has previously held series regular roles in the CBS medical drama Good Sam and the CBS cop drama East New York. Her extensive list of credits also includes recurring roles in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, This is Us, 9-1-1, Black Lightning, The Rookie, NCIS, Major Crimes, Shameless, and Grey's Anatomy, among others.
In addition to her television work, Skye has also made a name for herself in film. Her performance in the drama To Live and Die and Live at the Sundance Film Festival 2023 received critical acclaim, and she will co-star alongside Peter Sarsgaard in the upcoming film Coup! and in Park Ave, starring Fiona Shaw. She has also starred in the Hallmark Rom-Com film To Her With Love, and has had the honor of working alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins and Al Pacino in the Lionsgate feature film Misconduct. Her latest film credit includes the Rom-Com feature film A Nice Girl Like You, alongside Lucy Hale.
