Stéphane De Groodt, a Belgian-born individual, came into this world on March 3, 1966, in the vibrant city of Brussels. Prior to embarking on his acting career, he made a name for himself as a professional racing driver, participating in numerous prestigious events such as the Spa 24 Hours, where he competed in various categories including Formule Renault, Formula 3000, and Porsche Supercup. His impressive racing skills earned him the esteemed title of Champion of Belgium in the BMW Procar Championship.
However, De Groodt's most notable achievement is perhaps the creation of the popular series "File dans ta chambre", a collection of humorous vignettes in which he portrays Lucien, a father who responds to his son's questions about definitions and expressions in a delightfully absurd manner. Each episode concludes with the son revealing the actual meaning or definition, which prompts Lucien to instruct his son to retreat to his room, refusing to accept the truth.
In addition to his work on "File dans ta chambre", De Groodt has also secured supporting and guest roles in various films and television series. Some of his notable credits include the films "Asterix at the Olympic Games" (2008) and "Astérix and Obélix: God Save Britannia" (2012),as well as the television series "Mes amis, mes amours, mes emmerdes" (2009) and "Fais pas ci, fais pas ça" (2007). His co-star in the fourth and fifth seasons of "Fais pas ci, fais pas ça" was the talented actress Frédérique Bel.
