Person Biography:
tWitch was born in Montgomery, Alabama, where he received his nickname as a child due to his inability to sit still, often popping and ticking. He graduated from Lee High School in 2000 and went on to study Dance Performance at Southern Union State Community College and Chapman University.
His early career in the entertainment industry included being a semifinalist on MTV's The Wade Robson Project in 2003 and a runner-up on the television talent competition Star Search the same year. He also choreographed for South Korean pop/R&B singer Se7en.
In 2005, tWitch competed on season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance, where he was beaten by Hokuto 'Hok' Konishi and didn't make the top 20. However, he returned the following season and became a runner-up in the Finals, touring with the top 10 finalists and performing an Emmy-nominated piece called "Mercy" with Katee Shean.
In 2010, tWitch was chosen as one of the 10 All-Star dancers for SYTYCD's season 7. He is a comic book fan, especially of Superman comics, and named his dog, a Jack Russell mix, "Krypto". His clothing line, tWitch Boss Clothing, featured a t-shirt with the "T" within the Superman symbol.
tWitch was also a member of the dance troupes "Breed OCLA" and "Chill Factor Crew". On December 13, 2022, his wife Allison Hokler reported him missing, and later that day, the police found him dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in an L.A. hotel.
