Stephen Colletti was born in Newport Beach, California, where he spent his childhood and teenage years soaking up the sun, playing sports, and embarking on thrilling adventures with friends and family. His love for travel took him to the Sierra Nevada Mountains for camping and snowboarding excursions, as well as to visit his grandparents who resided off the coast of Vancouver. With ancestry tracing back to Italy, Ireland, Scotland, England, and Sweden, Stephen's cultural heritage played a significant role in shaping his personality and worldview.
As a young boy, Stephen discovered his passion for acting while participating in the Junior Park Avenue Player's theatre program during middle school. This early introduction to the world of performing arts laid the foundation for his future endeavors. When he entered high school, MTV approached him to appear in the reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County in 2004. After completing his high school education, Stephen decided to pursue higher education at San Francisco State University, but he eventually relocated to Los Angeles to further hone his acting skills.
Following his stint on Laguna Beach, Stephen went on to work on multiple projects, including television shows and films. He held hosting duties for MTV's Total Request Live (TRL),hosting over 40 episodes, and also appeared in various MTV specials, such as Beach House, Spring Break, and VMA's: Backstage Live. In addition, he hosted two of MTV's New Year's Eve celebrations in Times Square.
Stephen's filmography boasts a diverse range of roles, including Normal Adolescent Behavior (2007),Amazing Racer (2009),Mask Maker (2011),and All About Christmas Eve (2012). He has also made appearances in short films, such as Celluloid Dreams (2014),which won two grand jury awards and was recognized as a contender for Academy Award nomination.
In addition to his film work, Stephen has also had a successful career in television. He began recurring on the popular series One Tree Hill in 2006 and eventually became a series regular, appearing in a total of 60 episodes. In 2013, he started recuring on VH1's scripted series Hit The Floor, where he has remained a part of the cast since. In 2018, Stephen co-wrote, produced, and starred alongside his One Tree Hill costar James Lafferty in the television pilot Everyone Is Doing Great.
