Stephen Manley, a talented individual, was born in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. His grandfather, Stephen Soldi, an accomplished actor from the silent film era, played a significant role in shaping Stephen's early life by teaching him to read using film and television scripts. This unique approach instilled in Stephen a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling.
As a young boy, Stephen began to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry by working on several popular television shows, including "All in the Family" (1971),"Streets of San Francisco" (1972 & 1974),"Emergency" (1974),and "Kung Fu" (1974). He also appeared in "The Love Boat" (1979) and "Little House on the Prairie" (1981). Moreover, he landed leading roles in two television series, "The Married Machine" (1979) and "The Secrets of Midland Heights" (1981),which were written and produced by the renowned David Jacobs, creator of "Dallas" and "Knots Landing".
As a teenager, Stephen was handpicked by the esteemed Leonard Nimoy to play the role of Young Spock in the film "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" (1984),directed by Nimoy himself. This experience further honed Stephen's acting skills and provided him with valuable exposure in the industry.
After completing his studies at the Milton Katselas' Beverly Hills Playhouse under the guidance of Bill Howey and Miguel Ferrer, Stephen attended the Art Center College of Design, where he earned a degree in Film & Fine Art. He went on to direct and produce a film called "Greasepaint", which was later aired on Bravo.
Stephen's acting career continued to flourish, with notable roles in "Billy the Kid: New Evidence" (2015) as outlaw gunslinger Charlie Bowdre, and in Tyler Perry's television series "The Haves and Have Nots" (2017) as Psychiatrist Dr. Saver. His recent work includes the podcast "Havoc Town", directed by Nicholas Tecosky and produced by award-winning creator Aaron Mahnke, the Lifetime movie "Girlfriend: Missing", and the art-house film "Our Time is Up", directed by Kris Krainock, set to be released in 2025.
