Steve McKenna is a television personality and comedian, best known as the co-host of the popular HDNet show "Drinking Made Easy" alongside host Zane Lamprey. In the summer of 2010, the duo traveled to various US cities, filming 24 episodes that explored the local drinking cultures, customs, and cocktails of each city.
Prior to "Drinking Made Easy", McKenna gained recognition as the often-mentioned "friend" of Lamprey on the television show "Three Sheets". McKenna appeared in all 52 episodes, with Lamprey frequently referring to him as his friend who did humorous things when he drank. McKenna's appearances on the show led to a cult following of fans and his name becoming synonymous with drinking.
During the four-season run of "Three Sheets", McKenna became an integral part of the show's drinking game, with "Rule #2" stating that when Zane mentions his buddy Steve McKenna, it's a social (everyone drinks). McKenna also appeared in several episodes, including those set in Kentucky, New York City, London, and Amsterdam.
In the summer of 2010, McKenna embarked on a three-month tour with Lamprey, performing a stand-up comedy show in 53 cities, while also shooting episodes for "Drinking Made Easy". The following fall, McKenna learned to play the bass guitar for Lamprey's second national tour, "Sing the Booze", a comedy musical tour that visited 27 US cities.
