Stephen Quadros, a multi-talented individual, began his career in acting after initially pursuing a career as a drummer. He achieved local success and radio airplay in Los Angeles with the band SNOW, featuring Carlos Cavazo on guitar, and was even flown to New York to audition for the group KISS.
However, repetitive hand injuries forced Quadros to abandon his drumming pursuits, leading him to explore acting. He studied with various respected teachers, including John Ruskin, Cameron Watson, William Alderson, Stella Adler, Arthur Mendoza, Scott Bernstein, Michelle Danner, and Mark Haining.
As an actor, Quadros has starred, guest-starred, or co-starred in over 100 films and television shows, working alongside notable Hollywood stars such as Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Bigelow, Miles Teller, Nicolas Winding Refn, John Hawkes, Cuba Gooding Jr., Peter Falk, David Caruso, Blair Underwood, Traci Lords, and Angela Lansbury.
Quadros is also a martial arts expert, specializing in kickboxing and mixed martial arts (MMA),with over 20 years of experience as a practitioner, teacher, and trainer. He has appeared in and served as fight technical advisor for several films, including "Cradle 2 the Grave" (2003),starring Jet Li, Mark Dacascos, and DMX, and "Pit Fighter" (2005),released by 20th Century Fox.
In addition to his acting and martial arts pursuits, Quadros was a columnist and contributing editor for Black Belt magazine from 1998 to 2001, where he wrote a monthly column titled "FightSport." His column gained international attention, and Black Belt magazine even named an entire publication after it, "Black Belt Presents: Fightsport, with Stephen Quadros," which debuted nationally in February 2002.
Quadros is well-known in martial arts circles for his role as host and/or television commentator for several prominent fight shows, including Showtime Network's Strikeforce, Pride Fighting Championships, and Glory Kickboxing, which aired on ESPN and CBS Sports. He was given the nickname "The Fight Professor" while commentating on a K-1 show in Japan in 1998.
