Steve, a Canadian actor, was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. His passion for stage acting was ignited during his high school days at Ridgemont High School, where he starred in a production of Guys And Dolls. Steve's academic achievements were remarkable, as he earned his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, majoring in Theatre and English Literature. Upon graduating in 1984, he received two prestigious awards, The Rod Robertson Prize for scholastic achievement and The Lorne Greene Award, recognizing his exceptional promise as a performer.
After graduating, Steve relocated to Toronto to pursue a stage career, which took off in 1996 when he won The Dora Mavor Award for his outstanding performance as Prior Walter in the Canadian Stage production of Angels In America. Throughout his career, Steve has worked with various esteemed theatres across Canada, including The Belfry Theatre in Victoria, The Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, The National Arts Centre in Ottawa, The Centaur Theatre in Montreal, The Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake, and The Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario.
Steve's extensive film and television credits include recurring roles in the series Nero Wolfe (two seasons),Paradise Falls (three seasons),Saving Hope (three seasons),and Versailles (three seasons),as well as appearances on numerous other series, movies for TV, and feature films, such as Owning Mahoney, K-19 The Widowmaker, Killshot, and Robocop. He also lent his voice to the video game FarCry 3 and played Sir John A MacDonald in a Historica Canada Heritage Minute.
Nowadays, Steve is contentedly based in Toronto, where he continues to nurture his passion for acting.
