Steven, a South African actor, has made a significant mark in the entertainment industry, particularly for his portrayal of Dracule Mihawk in the Netflix live-action adaptation of the globally acclaimed manga series, One Piece.
With a Bachelor's degree in Live Performance from AFDA and training from various local and international coaches, Steven has showcased his versatility by appearing in a range of theatre and film productions, including Barefoot in the Park, The Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Day We Didn't Meet, and the SAFTA award-winning film, From a House on Willow Street.
Steven's television career began in 2010 with a stint in the Amstel Class Act competition, where he placed seventh in South Africa. He has since appeared in numerous commercials and has become a regular fixture on television screens worldwide, having played characters in local Telenovelas like Legacy and international roles in Strike Back and Syfy's Vagrant Queen.
His impressive range as an actor led to his casting in South Africa's first commissioned Netflix series, Queen Sono, where he played the role of a Russian mafia gangster posing as a British philanthropist. In 2024, Steven starred alongside Charlotte Hope in the drama Catch Me A Killer.
Beyond his on-camera work, Steven is also a skilled voiceover artist, having worked with various commercial clients in South Africa. His distinctive voice brings a rich nuance to any script.
In addition to his acting career, Steven has also worked behind the scenes as a Casting Associate/Director for over a decade, gaining valuable insight into the casting process and refining his own skills for all his on-camera endeavors.
