Biography

Steve Rosen is a multifaceted creative force, exceling as an actor, writer, composer, and lyricist across various mediums.

In film, he has collaborated with renowned directors such as Todd Solondz, Barry Levenson, and Woody Allen, among others.

On television, he has secured recurring roles on prominent shows like Law and Order: SVU, The Resident, The Bite, Nurse Jackie, and Kings, as well as making guest appearances on Fleishman is in Trouble, Blue Bloods, The Equalizer, Psych, and many others.

For his work in the theater, Rosen has garnered a total of seven award nominations, including five Drama Desk Awards, two Lucille Lortel Awards, two Off-Broadway Alliance Awards, and a Joseph Jefferson Award.

On Broadway, he originated the role of Sir Bedevere (and others) in the original cast of Monty Python's Spamalot, directed by Mike Nichols. He has also appeared in Des McAnuff's productions of Aaron Sorkin's The Farnsworth Invention and Guys and Dolls.

As a co-composer, lyricist, and book writer (with David Rossmer),Rosen has penned the musicals 50 First Dates (London, The Other Palace),The Griswolds' Broadway Vacation (Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater),and The Other Josh Cohen (NYC, Westside Theater),as well as the plays Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors (NYC, New World Stages and London, Menier Chocolate Factory),Crime and Punishment: A Comedy (San Diego, Old Globe),Ebenezer Scrooge's BIG San Diego Christmas Show, the book of the musical The Secret of My Success (Chicago, Paramount Theater),and the podcast Rolling Calls (Broadway Podcast Network).

Rosen also co-created the legendary Broadway variety show Don't Quit Your Night Job, writing material for notable performers such as Lin Manuel Miranda, Sting, Sutton Foster, Huey Lewis, Ariana Grande, and many others.

Currently, Rosen resides in New York City, continuing to create and inspire through his diverse range of talents.
