Steve Wall is a multifaceted Irish individual, excelling in both the worlds of music and acting.
In the realm of acting, Steve has recently appeared in notable roles such as Frank, the father of Ben Wishaw's character in Netflix's hit series Black Doves (2024); Bashar the colonel of the Sardaukar in Dune: Part Two (2024); and Ivan, a psychopathic hospital orderly in the horror feature Oddity (2024),earning him an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Additionally, Steve is part of the lead cast in The English (2022),a 6-part western mini-series starring Emily Blunt, for BBC and Amazon. His other notable roles include Einar in Vikings (2013); Tin Star (2017) (s3); Rebellion (2016) (2016); and Uncle Danny in Moone Boy (2012) (Sky TV).
Steve's theatre debut took place in January 2024 with John B. Keane's 'Sive' in a highly successful 56-show run in Dublin's Gaiety Theatre.
As a musician, Steve is the lead singer and songwriter with the legendary Irish bands The Walls and The Stunning. Initially starting out as an actor, Steve formed The Stunning in 1987, which went on to achieve significant success with number one albums and hit singles. The band disbanded in 1994, and Steve and his brother Joe formed The Walls, taking them on a global tour with four critically acclaimed albums.
Steve returned to acting in 2012, making his TV debut with Moone Boy, and has since continued to play a wide variety of roles. The Stunning reformed in the mid-2000's and still performs at select sell-out shows each year.
