Person Biography:
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Steve now resides in southern New Jersey with his wife, Debi. He has two grown children, Christian and Shanna. Steve attended Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, class of '68, where he was a defensive safety on the football team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from St. Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, class of '72.
Career:
Steve began his career as a New Jersey State Police Trooper, spending 25 years in the force. He worked undercover for the first 14 years and was involved in a major barroom brawl in Wildwood, New Jersey, where his partner was seriously injured. Late in his career, Steve worked in the computer crimes unit, investigating child pornography and identity theft. He retired from the police force in 1999 and started a consulting firm, Computer Paramedic, providing tech support to residential and small business clients. He retired from the firm in 2005.
Music:
Steve started playing the accordion at age 9 and later played rhythm guitar in a rock band called The Pawns. He co-founded another rock band, Quiet Country, in college, but left the band to pursue his police career. In 2004, Steve returned to music performance as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in a classic rock cover band called Anthem. After a lengthy hiatus, Steve began performing music again with his old bandmates from Quiet Country.
Acting Career:
Steve started his acting career in 2004 at the age of 54, after taking an acting class in Atlantic City. He landed a principal speaking role in his very first film audition and was bitten by the acting bug. He has since appeared in several films and TV shows, including The Happening (2008),directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Mark Wahlberg.
Current Projects:
Steve is still active in the entertainment industry, performing music with his band Quiet Country and juggling acting gigs. He holds the distinction of being the longest-lasting Dell on-air rep at QVC, a position he held for 8 years until his retirement in 2013.
