Sattanathapuram Venkataraman Shekhar, a renowned Tamil playwright and film actor, is born on December 26, 1950. He is recognized for his exceptional talent in slapstick humor and his remarkable contributions to public welfare initiatives.
In 2006, Shekhar ventured into politics by contesting and successfully winning the Legislative Assembly Elections as an All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) candidate from Mylapore. However, he faced issues with the party and was eventually expelled in June 2009 due to alleged anti-party activities.
Following his expulsion, Shekhar decided to establish his own political party. In February 2009, he launched the Brahmins Association under the banner FEBAS. Despite his efforts, the organization did not receive support from the already existing Brahmins Association, THAMBRAAS.
