Biography

Tamara Robertson was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, where she grew up in a military family with her older brother, two older sisters, and parents who served in the Marine Corps. Her parents retired during her youth, providing her with a stable and supportive environment to develop her passions.

Throughout her middle school and high school years, Tamara excelled in cheerleading, gymnastics, and stunting, taking on the role of a flyer. She also honed her skills by coaching and choreographing local pop warner cheerleading squads, leading her teams to victories in regional competitions. Additionally, she was an active member of her community, participating in various clubs and organizations, including BETA Club, Art Honor Society, Photography Club, and Clown Club, where she contributed to charitable causes.

As she pursued her engineering degree at North Carolina State University, Tamara began to explore her creative side through commercial print modeling, commercial acting, and acting with Maultsby Model & Talent Management in Wilmington, North Carolina. She worked with her agent from 2008 to 2014, gaining valuable experience in the industry. During her time at NC State, she also managed the Chemical Engineering Department's biodiesel plant, combining her engineering skills with her passion for sustainability.

Tamara's commitment to giving back to her community led her to participate in various charitable initiatives, including Engineers Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE),and International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE). She also worked with local kids through STEM outreach programs at NC State and Meredith, as well as NCSU Gymnastics camps.

After graduating with her Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering degree, Tamara began her career in the biotech industry, designing and working in vaccines facilities. She later transitioned to the chemical industry, where she designed and built markets for plastics additives and post-treatment technologies. Throughout her engineering career, Tamara continued to develop her acting skills through extensive training in the Meisner & Stanislavski techniques, improv, and various other courses, working with renowned coaches such as Bojesse Christopher, J.D. Lewis, Heather Snow Clark, and many others.

In 2014, Tamara relocated to the Los Angeles, California area, where she currently resides. She continues to work with children in her local community through acting and STEM outreach programs and camps, sharing her passion for science, technology, engineering, and math with the next generation.
