Tamara Robertson's life journey began in the heart of Eastern North Carolina, where her formative years were shaped by the unique dynamic of a military family. As a member of a tight-knit household, she shared her childhood with an older brother and two older sisters, all of whom were raised under the loving guidance of their parents.
Her father and mother, both esteemed members of the United States Marine Corps, had dedicated their lives to serving their country. As a result, Tamara's family was frequently relocated, allowing her to experience the diverse cultures and ways of life that different regions had to offer.
During her youth, Tamara witnessed a significant milestone in her family's life - the retirement of her father and mother from the Marine Corps. This event marked a new chapter in their lives, as they settled into a quieter pace, free from the demands of military service.
Tamara's academic tenure was marked by a plethora of extracurricular activities, with a particular emphasis on cheerleading, where she excelled as a flyer in both middle school and high school gymnastics and stunting routines. Furthermore, she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills by coaching and choreographing local Pop Warner cheerleading squads during her high school years, guiding her teams to numerous victories in regional competitions.
Concurrently, Tamara was an ardent community participant, actively engaging in various charitable endeavors through her membership in several esteemed clubs. These included the prestigious BETA Club, the esteemed Art Honor Society, the Photography Club, and the Clown Club, each of which allowed her to cultivate her creativity, empathy, and teamwork skills.
Tamara's early career was marked by a dual focus on both artistic and technical pursuits while attending Engineering College at North Carolina State University. She leveraged her skills in acting, improv, and drama to secure opportunities in commercial print modeling, commercial acting, and acting with Maultsby Model & Talent Management in Wilmington, NC, where she worked with her agent from 2008 to 2014.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, Tamara also applied her engineering knowledge to real-world applications. She managed the Chemical Engineering Department's Biodiesel plant, utilizing her expertise to drive efficiency and sustainability. Furthermore, she was actively involved in various charitable initiatives, including Engineers Without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE),and the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).
Tamara's commitment to giving back to her community was evident through her involvement in STEM outreach programs at both NC State and Meredith. She also worked closely with local kids through NCSU Gymnastics camps, inspiring the next generation of engineers and scientists.
Tamara's remarkable journey began after she earned her esteemed degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, which served as the foundation for her subsequent foray into the Biotech sector. Within this industry, she utilized her exceptional skills to design and operate vaccines facilities, showcasing her expertise in a high-stakes environment.
As her career progressed, Tamara made the transition to the Chemical Industry, where she leveraged her talents to design and build markets for plastics additives and post-treatment technologies. This experience not only honed her engineering prowess but also provided a unique understanding of the intersection between chemistry and business.
Throughout her illustrious engineering career, Tamara has consistently pursued her passion for acting, diligently building her resume and expertise through extensive training in various techniques. Her studies have encompassed the renowned Meisner & Stanislavski methods, as well as improv and other courses, under the guidance of esteemed coaches such as Bojesse Christopher, J.D. Lewis, Heather Snow Clark, and many others.
Tamara's journey took a significant turn in 2014, as her personal and professional life circumstances necessitated a relocation to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California, where she has since made her home.
As a resident of the LA area, Tamara has continued to dedicate herself to the welfare and enrichment of the local community, particularly among children, by utilizing her acting talents and expertise to make a positive impact.
