Tara Samuel is a multifaceted Canadian artist, distinguished for her exceptional talents as an actor, writer, producer, and filmmaker. She has garnered widespread recognition for her captivating performances, including a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Lead Actress in a series for her role as Vangeline Neddeaus in the acclaimed CBC original series The Neddeaus of Duqesne Island.
Tara's most notable television role is that of Tara Williams in the long-running series SueThomas: F.B.Eye, which continues to be broadcast globally. As a producer-actor, she has been involved in the creation of several films, including Ruby Booby, Prairie Sonata, The Rwanda Blend, and FIND. The latter, written and directed by Tara Samuel and Nominated Best Narrative Short at the Austin Film Festival. Additionally, she won the Best Actress award for her role as Ruby in RUBY BOOBY at the Manhattan Film Festival.
