Tara Spencer-Nairn's career in the entertainment industry began to take off in 1999 when she landed a significant role as a tough, Bronx-raised teenager in the critically acclaimed film, New Waterford Girl, which premiered at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. The film received widespread recognition, earning seven Genie Award nominations, including Best Picture.
In 2002, Tara showcased her comedic abilities in the indie film Rub & Tug, where she starred alongside Don McKellar. Her performance garnered her a Canadian Comedy Award nomination, solidifying her reputation as a talented actress.
For six consecutive years, Tara captivated audiences with her portrayal of Constable Karen Pelly in the long-running television series Corner Gas. Her remarkable performance earned her a permanent place in the Canadian film and television landscape.
