Tara Summers is a talented British actress who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry with her diverse range of roles in both television and film. She began her career as Katie Lloyd on the highly acclaimed series Boston Legal, and since then, she has appeared in numerous critically acclaimed shows, including Fleishman is in Trouble, Damages, Ringer, Stalker, Evil, Dietland, Sons of Anarchy, and Mercy Street, where she was a series regular on Fox's Rake and PBS's Mercy Street.
In addition to her television credits, Summers has also had a successful film career, appearing in Hitchcock, Private Practice, Factory Girl, Alfie, Dirt, and What a Girl Wants, and more recently, You're The Worst. She has also made a name for herself on the stage, writing, producing, and starring in her one-woman autobiographical show, Gypsy of Chelsea, which was performed at the Royal Court Theatre in London, Studio 54 in New York, and the Hudson in Los Angeles.
Summers has received rave reviews for her performances, including her portrayal of Claire Sutton in Jonathan Lynn's acclaimed stage production, Yes, Prime Minister, at the Geffen Playhouse. She has also recently been seen on stage at Lincoln Centre in Tom Stoppard's new play "The Hard Problem" and made her Broadway Debut in Rupert Goold's production of "INK" opposite Jonny Lee Miller and Bertie Carvel.
Before pursuing her acting career, Summers studied at Brown University, where she received a B.A. in History. She then trained at the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill in Connecticut and later earned an M.F.A. in Acting from L.A.M.D.A.
