Tequan Richmond, a talented actor, arrived in Los Angeles from his hometown of Burlington, North Carolina nearly two decades ago, and since then, he has been keeping busy with various projects.
He has made appearances in several national commercials, including a Spalding basketball commercial with Paul Pierce, and commercials for McDonald's, Pepsi, Verizon Wireless, Nintendo DS, Brand Jordan, Sears, Tide, and many more.
Tequan has also had guest-starring roles on various television shows, such as Cold Case, ER, CSI, Memphis Beat, Private Practice, Detroit 1-8-7, Numb3rs, and The Shield, among others. One of his notable roles was as Ray Charles, Jr. in the biographical drama film "Ray," a musical drama about the life of American legend Ray Charles.
In addition to his television and film work, Tequan has also appeared in a CBS pilot, "The Law and Mr. Lee," where he starred alongside Danny Glover. He also had a series regular role in the television comedy "Everybody Hates Chris," which was narrated and produced by Chris Rock. The show is currently syndicated.
Tequan's recent projects include starring alongside Isaiah Washington in the thriller "Blue Caprice," which premiered at Sundance 2013. He also starred in the film "Nowhere, Michigan," where he made his producing debut.
As a talented actor, Tequan Richmond has received three Daytime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of TJ Ashford in the long-running daytime television show General Hospital on ABC.
