Teri Clark was born in Dayton, Ohio, and developed a passion for acting after performing in her first play in middle school. She continued to hone her craft, taking theatre classes and acting in plays and musicals at Troy High School in Michigan. Clark then attended Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her time in Chicago, she was seen on stage at various theaters, including Bailiwick, Piven Theatre Workshop, and the Court Theatre, and signed with Cunningham, Escott, Dipene for representation.
Clark's early career included touring with the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival's Educational Outreach program and appearing on stages in the Midwest, including the Human Race Theatre in Dayton, Ohio. She also landed roles at the Jeff Daniels Purple Rose Theatre, where she originated roles in new plays such as Leaving Iowa and Hope For Corky. In Detroit, Clark appeared with Laverne & Shirley's Cindy Williams and Eddie Mekka in Kong's Night Out at Meadowbrook Theatre.
Clark's voice-over career took off in Detroit, where she began performing in a multitude of radio and television commercials and corporate industrial narratives, including ads for Blue Cross Blue Shield, On-Star, and the Detroit Tigers. She also began narrating audio books, including work for Assistive Media and Brilliance Audio, the largest audio book publisher in North America.
Clark continued to hone her skills, training with top talent/teacher Pat Fraley in LA, and eventually created TCVO, where she brought in top talent/teachers Pamela Lewis and Sherri Berger for voice-over training events. She also began coaching beginning students.
In addition to her voice-over work, Clark has appeared in several films, including Indie Films Mooz-lum, Nevermore, and Ocean of Pearls, as well as smaller, non-speaking roles on screen, notably with screen legend Ernest Borgnine in Frozen Stupid. She has also worked with prominent directors, including Edward Zwick in Love and Other Drugs, where she played an ER nurse who assisted Jake Gyllenhaal with his little "problem."
Clark's more recent film credits include Jack Reacher, directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and Super 8, directed by J. J. Abrams. She has also worked with Viola Davis in the Daniel Barnz directed film Won't Back Down, and with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Elliot Lester directed film Aftermath.
In 2019, Clark was seen on stage at Dayton Ohio's Victoria Theatre Association's A Christmas Story as Mother, on the WGN Network's Gone, starring Chris Noth and Danny Pino, and in I See You as Mrs. Braun, starring Helen Hunt. Currently, Clark volunteers time co-chairing the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Mentorship Committee for The Audiobook Publisher's Association, and one of several Juror's for The Society of Voice Arts and Sciences Voice Arts Awards.
