Thomas Blake was born and raised on Wrightsville Beach, a small island located on the outskirts of Wilmington, North Carolina. His early life was marked by a profound interest in acting, which led him to participate in community theater productions at a young age.
As he grew older, Thomas's passion for acting only intensified, prompting him to enroll in the Theater Department at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he spent two years honing his craft. Following his time at UNC Wilmington, Thomas made the bold decision to relocate to New York City, where he enrolled in Uta Hagen's renowned conservatory, HB Studios.
While studying acting in the city that never sleeps, Thomas continued to pursue his passion for theater, taking on roles in various productions and even branching out into independent filmmaking. His talents as an actor and director soon caught the attention of critics and audiences alike, earning him widespread acclaim and recognition.
In 2007, Thomas made the move to Los Angeles, where he went on to direct, produce, and star in the hit production, Point Break Live! This groundbreaking show would go on to garner widespread critical acclaim, including being named one of LA Weekly's People of the Year in 2009. To date, Point Break Live! remains the longest-running show in Los Angeles, having been performed in numerous cities across the United States, including San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York City, and Chicago.
Thomas's success with Point Break Live! was not limited to the stage, as he also went on to write and direct the critically acclaimed film, Terminator Too Judgment Play. This thought-provoking production has been performed in numerous cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and has received widespread critical acclaim.
In 2014, Thomas's productions took center stage at the prestigious Bonnaroo Music Festival, making them the first two theater shows to ever perform at a major US music festival. Despite his numerous accomplishments, Thomas remains committed to his craft, continuing to work in film and television while also producing quality, truthful forms of entertainment through his production company, On The Fly Productions.
