Till Lindemann is a multifaceted German artist, renowned for his captivating performances as the lead singer of the iconic band Rammstein, as well as his endeavors as an actor and poet.
Born in Leipzig, East Germany, Lindemann spent his formative years in the picturesque village of Wendisch-Rambow, near Schwerin. His father, the celebrated children's poet Werner Lindemann, and his mother, Brigitte "Gitta" Hildegard Lindemann, a journalist and writer, instilled in him a deep appreciation for the arts.
Lindemann's early musical endeavors saw him playing drums for First Arsch, releasing an album titled Saddle Up, and collaborating with the punk band Feeling B, which later became the precursor to Rammstein. The band's founding members, Paul H. Landers, Christoph "Doom" Schneider, and Christian "Flake" Lorenz, would go on to join forces with Lindemann in the 1990s.
During this period, Lindemann began crafting lyrics, and in 1994, the trio entered and won a prestigious contest in Berlin, securing the opportunity to record a professionally produced four-track demo. This milestone marked the official inception of Rammstein.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Lindemann has also explored his creative talents as a poet. His debut poetry book, "Messer", was published in November 2002, featuring 54 poems compiled by renowned author and Rammstein pyro-designer Gert Hof. Seven years later, in October 2013, Lindemann released his sophomore poetry collection, "In Stillen Nächten".
