Tim Matthews' Biography:
Born on April 4, 1976, Tim Matthews began his acting career at the age of 11 with a role in "Fuente Ovejuna" at the National Theatre. He went on to appear in various theatrical productions, including the Time-Out award-winning "Dreams of Anne Frank" at the Polka Theatre in 1992.
In 1993, Matthews was cast in the dual roles of Gus and Augustus Coverly in the National Theatre's production of "Arcadia", which won Evening Standard and Olivier Awards. He later reprised his roles for the BBC Radio 4 broadcast of the play.
Matthews continued to work in theatre and television throughout the 1990s, appearing in productions such as "The Browning Version", "Machinal", and "Bearing Fruit". He also made guest appearances on various TV shows, including "Space Precinct", "Eleven Men Against Eleven", and "Drop the Dead Donkey".
In the early 2000s, Matthews landed the role of Corporal Alex Penkala in the HBO mini-series "Band of Brothers", which won numerous awards, including the Golden Globe and Emmy. He also appeared in the Arts and Entertainment Channel's production of "The Lost Battalion" and had a recurring role on the BBC drama "Doctors".
Throughout his career, Matthews has worked with notable actors and directors, including Bill Nighy, Rufus Sewell, Felicity Kendall, Sir Tom Stoppard, and Sir Trevor Nunn. He has also been involved in various charity work and has released his own music album, "Somebody Else".
