Tim Scanlon, a talented individual with a passion for the film industry, received his Bachelor's degree in English/Communications from Niagara University. In the summer of 1989, he embarked on a cross-country journey to Los Angeles with his college roommate to pursue a career in screenwriting.
Scanlon's early career was marked by his work at Multi Entertainment Holdings, where he collaborated with the legendary Donald O'Connor on the Russian live-action fairy tale "Father Frost". His small roles as a stunt man in the early 1990s granted him exposure on HBO and TNT, working alongside Don "The Dragon" Wilson.
As a production assistant, set dresser, and stunt man, Scanlon became deeply immersed in the inner workings of the film industry. His dedication and perseverance led him to optimize springboard opportunities for the acting community in 1997.
In an effort to hone his production and directing skills, Scanlon created and produced his own public television comedy series, "Billy Mahoney". This series follows the misadventures of a young salesman as he navigates the challenges of securing steady employment and coping with the antics of his colleagues. The show's success led Scanlon to explore a more serious side of the title character in a heroic adventure series.
One of Scanlon's most notable projects is the action-drama "Concrete Skies", which premiered at the New York International Film and Video Festival in 2003. This 111-minute film follows the adventures of Will Mahoney and LT as they are pursued by a local drug dealer thought to be dead.
Scanlon's Scanman Productions has also produced "Reynolds City", a film that debuted at The Palace Theater in Eastwood, New York in 2005. This action-packed film brought in a crowd of approximately 350 people.
In addition to his work with Scanman Productions, Scanlon has also produced "The Challenge", a boxing/street fighter genre film that premiered as a fundraiser for The Syracuse Golden Gloves Athletic and Education Centers. The event raised over $1000 and was a huge success.
Scanlon's most recent project is an action video called "Home Invaders", which showcases his continued commitment to real-time action adventure.
Under his new label, Scanlon Media Corp, Tim produced an action pilot called "Ryan Carson" in November 2022, starring Cynthia Rothrock and financed by a solid media platform. With this project, Scanlon is poised to produce more action-packed adventures for his loyal audiences.
