TJ is a dual citizen of Australia and the United States, hailing from Sydney, Australia, where he was born. He pursued his passion for the performing arts at the esteemed Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA),and soon after graduating, he made his mark in the industry by appearing alongside Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem in the film 'Eat Pray Love'.
TJ is perhaps most recognized for his portrayal of Will Bowen in the Channel Ten/Netflix series 'Offspring', a role that earned him an AACTA Award nomination. These videos were later used for publicity by the theatre company.
TJ's official directorial debut was in 2017 with the farcical comedy, 'Your Call is Important to Us'. Shot in Melbourne with some of Australia's best comedic talent, 'Your Call' premiered in competition at the Academy-accredited Flickerfest and screened in competition at the Melbourne International Film Festival. His next short film, 'The Bus to Birra Birra', was shot in the picturesque town of Gundagai, regional New South Wales, and enjoyed a successful festival run, picking up Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and People's Choice awards.
TJ has also directed multiple music videos and episodes of 'Blippi Adventures' and 'Meekah Adventures' for Moonbug USA. Before entertaining audiences on screen or stage, TJ had a career in music, performing independently in Australia and LA as a singer-songwriter. His guitar skills came to use in the Bill Wages film "The Neon Highway", where he played live for the music scenes.
