Tobias Santelmann, a Norwegian actor of considerable talent, was born in Freiburg, Germany, but his life took a dramatic turn when his family relocated to Norway when he was just one year old. Growing up in the picturesque region of Lindesnes, in the far south of Norway, Santelmann developed a strong connection to his new homeland.
As he entered his teenage years, Santelmann made the move to Oslo, the vibrant capital city of Norway, where he would spend the next several years honing his craft. It was in Oslo that he would go on to graduate from the prestigious Oslo National Academy of Dramatic Arts (KHiO) in 2006.
Upon completing his studies, Santelmann joined the esteemed Norwegian Theatre in Oslo (Det Norske Teatret),where he has since become an integral part of the company. Throughout his years at the theatre, he has had the opportunity to portray a wide range of characters, each one showcasing his remarkable versatility as an actor.
Some of his most notable roles include Yang Sun in Bertolt Brecht's "The Good Person of Szechwan", K in Franz Kafka's "The Castle", Torvald Helmer in Henrik Ibsen's "Nora", and Nick in David Mamet's "The Woods".
In addition to his impressive stage work, Santelmann has also made a name for himself in the world of film. In recent years, he has starred in a number of successful movies, including "Kon Tiki", "Jag Etter Vind", "Flukt", and "Jeg Er Din".
