Biography

Tom Fahn was born on April 30th, 1962, in Queens, New York, to parents from Brooklyn, East New York, and Bay Ridge. He is the second of four children, with two brothers and a sister, and grew up in Huntington, Long Island, New York.

His parents, who worked in radio and music, exposed the family to the arts from an early age, taking them to movies, concerts, and Broadway shows whenever possible. When Tom was 15, his family moved to Southern California, where he developed a passion for acting.

He graduated from California State University, Long Beach, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts, and married his college sweetheart. After moving to Los Angeles, Tom began his acting career, working in voice-over, film, TV, commercials, theater, stand-up, and improv comedy.

As a voice-over artist, Tom has provided voices for numerous projects, including Agumon on Digimon: Digital Monsters, Ice Age 2: The Meltdown, Cowboy Bebop, and many others. On-camera, he has starred in the direct-to-video feature The Incredible Genie and the award-winning short film Fast Food, which parodies Scorsese.

Tom has also written and starred in the webisode Fun Dad, which is currently playing on Funny Or Die. Both Fast Food and Fun Dad were directed by his brother, Jonathan Fahn. He has appeared in numerous commercials, including a national TV ad for Lowe's featuring a large bear.

On stage in Los Angeles, Tom was cast as Dr. Melman in the play 40 And Other Problems, written by Cynthia Greenburg. The production also featured Joy Gohring, Roma Maffia, and Maggie Wheeler. Tom has performed stand-up comedy from Vegas to Boston as a member of The Comedy Team of Tom & Dan with Dan Lorge.

The duo was also the $10,000 grand prize winner on ABC's The New America's Funniest People. Tom has performed improv comedy for five years every Monday night as a member of The Itchey Feet, directed by Bryan Rasmussen. He has written and produced the short film Old Dogs, starring John Saxon, Larry Gelman, Basil Hoffman, and Phil Lamarr, with his brother Jonathan.

Their full-length feature film screenplay, now titled #OldDawgz, is in pre-production and is set to be produced by Bruce Gordon. The script is also posted on The Black List. Tom has a podcast with his brother Jonathan called Magic Moments With The Fahn Brothers.

In his free time, Tom enjoys playing softball, rooting for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and spending time with family and friends. Despite his many accomplishments, Tom credits his wife and daughter as his greatest achievements. They live in Los Angeles.
