Tom, a native of eastern Kentucky's coal country and raised in South Charleston, West Virginia, embarked on a journey to pursue his musical aspirations, studying drums and percussion from grade school to college at West Virginia University.
Following his academic endeavors, Tom relocated to Florida and subsequently transitioned into the world of acting, as Disney/MGM and Universal Studios expanded their operations in the Orlando area. He enrolled in acting classes and eventually secured a position as a stage actor at Universal Studios.
Tom's initial foray into commercial acting was a Muppets commercial for Disney/MGM, directed by the late Jim Henson, shortly before his passing. Since his move to Los Angeles, he has accumulated an impressive resume, working on nearly one hundred commercials to date, including collaborations with acclaimed directors such as Tom Hooper and Craig Gillespie.
In addition to his commercial success, Tom has made appearances in the Emmy-qualifying political satire 'Claire-ity' as Chester, and was nominated for an Indie Series Award for Best Supporting Actor in the aforementioned comedy. He also co-produced and starred in the short-form series 'Disconnected', directed by Latina director Jeannette Godoy.
Tom's versatility as an actor was showcased when he landed a supporting role in Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning epic 'Oppenheimer', which received the Best Ensemble Cast Critics' Choice Award and the coveted SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Motion Picture Cast. He also made a guest appearance in the season three opener of the top-rated 'Yellowstone', alongside Oscar-winning director/actor Kevin Costner and Wes Bentley.
When not acting, Tom is deeply invested in the Young Storytellers program as a head mentor, teaching fifth-graders to write original stories and screenplays through the 'Script to Stage' program, co-sponsored by Disney, HBO, and Paramount, as well as major talent agencies.
As a dedicated 'Cat Dad' at home, Tom volunteers with Kitt Crusaders cat rescue group. He is also a regular platelet donor at Children's Hospital LA, and kindly requests that supporters consider donating to any of the aforementioned organizations.
