Tommy Tallarico, a renowned American video game musician and sound designer, embarked on his illustrious career with a notable contribution to the Game Boy version of Prince of Persia in 1989, marking the beginning of his fruitful collaboration with Virgin Interactive Entertainment.
Throughout his tenure at Virgin Interactive, Tallarico worked as a sound producer on a plethora of games, including Mick & Mack as the Global Gladiators in 1992, RoboCop Versus the Terminator in 1993, Aladdin in 1993, and Earthworm Jim in 1994, solidifying his reputation as a versatile and skilled sound designer.
In 1994, Tallarico took the bold step of founding Tommy Tallarico Studios Inc., which would go on to collaborate with numerous developers and publishers on a wide range of video games, such as MDK in 1997, Spider-Man in 2000, Maximo vs. Army of Zin in 2003, and Advent Rising in 2005.
Beyond his remarkable composing contributions, Tallarico, in partnership with Jack Wall, co-created Video Games Live in 2002, serving as the creative director of its concert performances. Since its debut in 2005, Video Games Live has performed an astonishing 500 shows in 42 countries by 2022, cementing its status as a groundbreaking and beloved entertainment phenomenon.
