Tony is a highly accomplished dialect coach and actor, hailing from Chicago, where he was born and trained. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Roosevelt University. Despite showing little interest in the arts during his high school days at Lane Tech, class of 1978, he went on to excel in hockey, serving as the school's goalie on their 1978 championship team.
Tony's introduction to acting was a serendipitous event. After high school graduation, he attended part-time courses at Wright Jr. College, where he stumbled upon an "Introduction to Theater" class that showcased a Second City show. This experience sparked his interest in improv, and he went on to take a year-long course at the renowned Players Workshop of the Second City. During his time there, he taught and directed, mentoring notable talents such as Stephanie Weir (MAD TV) and Sean Hayes (Will & Grace).
After years of studying improv at institutions like Victory Gardens Theatre, ImprovOlympia, and others in Chicago, Tony finally landed a role with the Second City troupe. He is part of a long list of esteemed Second City actors who have worked in film, television, animation voiceover, and theater. Critics have praised him for his unique physical humor, dubbing him "A Standout Comic" by the Edmonton Journal and "The funniest man in summer theatre" by the Meaford Express.
Tony has also shared his expertise as an acting instructor in Chicago, Toronto, and Vancouver. He has been running his ImprovChicago workshops in Vancouver since 2000 and is the driving force behind the Windy City Women improv troupe, which has become a comedy staple.
In addition to his acting pursuits, Tony has been working as a dialect coach in the film industry since 2004. His success in this field has been a testament to his dedication and expertise.
Throughout his journey, Tony has remained humble and grounded, crediting his success to the "Grace of God." He and his wife Marie are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first child in March 2006 and look forward to sharing their love and blessings with the world.
