Kenneth Becker, Tony's father, made history by having the first on-screen fight with the legendary Elvis Presley in the 1957 film "Loving You". Patti Kane, his mother, was a close friend of the iconic actress Sandra Dee, appearing alongside her in the original 1959 film "Gidget".
Tony's early start in the entertainment industry began with his first TV role as Mark Hamill's little brother on the Mary Tyler Moore Production's "The Texas Wheelers". This marked the beginning of a long list of recurring roles on notable TV series such as "Little House on the Prairie", "The Waltons", "The Oregon Trail", and many others.
