Tori's life began in Baltimore, where she relocated with her family at the tender age of one, and spent the majority of her childhood within its city limits. This is where her remarkable journey with music first commenced, as she started playing the piano at a precociously early age of 21/2 years.
As fate would have it, Tori's exceptional talent was soon recognized, and at the tender age of five, she was accepted into the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music, an esteemed institution that accepts only the most gifted students. This marked a significant milestone in her life, as she became the youngest person to ever be accepted into the school.
However, as Tori grew older, she began to realize that her aspirations and those of the school were not aligning, and this led to a series of events that would ultimately shape the course of her life. At the age of 11, Tori was tragically expelled from the school, a feat that earned her the distinction of being the youngest person to ever receive such a fate.
The expulsion marked a significant turning point in Tori's life, and she soon found herself drawn to the world of rock music. She joined a band called Y Kan't Tori Read, which released an album in 1988. Unfortunately, the album failed to gain traction, and the band eventually disbanded.
Undeterred by this setback, Tori continued to pursue her passion for music, and has since established herself as a solo artist, renowned for her powerful voice, eclectic lyrics, and exceptional piano skills.
