Tottie Goldsmith, a multifaceted individual, has had a remarkable career spanning multiple disciplines.
As a founding member of the band Chantoozies, Tottie toured Australia extensively, appearing on various entertainment programs and selling over 200,000 records. After leaving the band, Tottie pursued a solo career, honing her singing and acting skills at the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse and Janet Alhanti's workshops in Los Angeles.
Upon returning to Australia, Tottie secured the female lead in Beyond Production's Fire (1995),followed by a guest appearance in Bryan Brown's Twisted Tales (1996),alongside Academy Award-winner Geoffrey Rush.
Tottie's impressive resume continued to grow, as she signed on as the host of Channel 10's controversial series Sex/Life in 1996, which became one of Australia's most talked-about shows. During this time, she also hosted Channel 10's coverage of the 1997 Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and 40 Years of Television.
In 1997, Tottie headlined Melbourne's top-rated breakfast program on TTFM, before accepting the role of "Miss Lynch" in "Grease" - the Arena Spectacular, a phenomenon in Australian box office history.
Tottie's talents were showcased in her role as "Janet" in "The New Rocky Horror Show" at Sydney's Star City, her first starring role in Musical Theatre. She also played "Susanne" in the comic farce "Don't Dress For Dinner," which successfully toured Australia for four months to sell-out audiences.
Tottie's television appearances continued with a guest role in Channel 9's Stingers (1998),a part in the Beyond Simpson LeMesurier tele-movie "Life" on Channel 10, and a role in the feature film "Visitors" by Bayside Pictures, released in 2003.
In the corporate market, Tottie has hosted launch events and corporate dinners, and has also become a motivational speaker, addressing audiences for companies such as RetireInvest, McDonald's, and Holden. She has also hosted numerous charity events, including the annual Mothers Day Comedy Debate for Melbourne University.
Tottie has made guest appearances on television shows such as Stingers (1998) and Blue Heelers (1994),and has released her own meditation CD, "Unwind Your Mind," which was programmed on Qantas's inflight Oasis Channel in June 2005.
Tottie's latest project is "Falling Asleep with Tottie Goldsmith," a CD designed to help people with sleep problems, which she co-created with sleep scientist Chris Bunney.
In May 2005, Tottie donated her services to perform for the troops in the Middle East, MC'ing and singing with the Army Band Australia, and also leading deep relaxation classes for the soldiers at army bases in Kuwait and Baghdad.
