T.R. Knight began his acting career as a young boy, taking on the role of Tiny Tim in the Guthrie Theater's annual production of A Christmas Carol at the tender age of five.
As he grew older, Knight became a member of the acting company at the Minneapolis-based Guthrie Theater, where he had the opportunity to play a wide range of roles. One of his earliest notable performances was as Richard Miller in Eugene O'Neill's classic play Ah, Wilderness!, followed by his portrayal of Amadeus in Peter Shaffer's Tony Award-winning play Amadeus.
Knight's talent and versatility soon led him to the New York stage, where he made a name for himself by taking on a variety of roles. Some of his most notable performances include Tim Allgood in Michael Frayn's comedy Noises Off, Damis in Molière's classic comedy Tartuffe, Joe in This Lime Tree Bower, and Brendan Hilliard in Anto Scattergood.
In addition to his impressive stage work, Knight received a Drama Desk nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in Scattergood, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and dedicated actor.
