Travis Aaron Wade was born on September 27, 1975, in Los Angeles, California, to a mother from Manchester, England, and a father from Rosemead, California. He grew up in Glendora, California, and attended Charter Oak High School in Covina, where he excelled in sports, becoming captain of the football team in his senior year.
After high school, Travis had a life-changing experience during a trip to Tijuana, Mexico, which led him to join the United States Marine Corps, where he was honorably discharged in 1997. Upon his return, his mother suggested he take acting classes, which he did, and he eventually attended Citrus College, majoring in criminal law and theater.
Travis's acting career began to take off in 2005 when he was cast in Steven Spielberg's War Of The Worlds. He then landed a lead role in The Fix, a drama that won Best Drama at the L.A. Shorts Festival in 2006. During filming, he suffered a broken nose and dislocated finger.
In 2007, Travis was cast in the cult classic Pig Hunt, which led to roles in The Closer, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Alcatraz, Rizzoli & Isles, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Supernatural. He also appeared in films opposite John Travolta, including The Forger and Criminal Activities.
Travis's future projects include a role in the upcoming film The Last Full Measure, starring William Hurt, Ed Harris, Sebastian Stan, and Samuel L. Jackson. He has also co-produced a documentary, Extinction Soup, to raise awareness about the shrinking shark population.
In addition to his acting career, Travis co-founded Arm The Animals, a charitable T-Shirt company that donates a percentage of sales to help animals in need. He also saved a 72-year-old woman from an overturned vehicle engulfed in flames in 2010 and was honored with a Local Hero Medal.
Travis has been teaching the arts and working with children and young adults in Vietnam since 2008, and some of his students have gone on to compete in Miss Universe and Miss World, which he has personally coached to achieve success in pageants and life.
