Travis had a unique upbringing, moving around the world with his father who worked for the government and was involved with the military. This led to him spending a significant portion of his formative years in West Germany and the Netherlands, where he attended international and Department of Defense schools.
As he grew older, Travis found himself finishing his high school experience in Sacramento, California, where he discovered his passion for acting. He was awarded a full ride scholarship to attend any university he chose, and he took advantage of this opportunity by attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
However, Travis eventually decided to pursue his full degree at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, where he was part of the Experimental Theater Wing. During his time at NYU, he had the opportunity to study and perform with an international theater festival in Amsterdam and attend additional training in Iceland.
After graduating from NYU, Travis returned to California to earn his Secondary Teaching Credential and teach in the public school system. He also worked in local theater productions and created a theater company. Despite being an award-winning teacher, Travis decided he wanted to make a professional career of acting full-time and attended The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco to complete his training.
Upon graduating from A.C.T., Travis immediately booked a big commercial campaign, which allowed him to relocate back to New York City and sign with Abrams Artist Agency. He continued to book commercials, which gave him the opportunity to pursue roles in independent films and off-Broadway theater. Travis also had the chance to co-host Nick Jr.'s "Playalong" from 2004-2005, playing the lovable character "Zach".
Despite his love for living in New York, Travis realized that the majority of film and TV production work was happening in Los Angeles, and it was time for him to relocate. He found his niche as a character actor in comedy, known for his improv and physical comedy, and has had plenty of opportunities to portray unsavory law enforcement officers.
When he's not acting, Travis can be found performing long-form improv in theaters throughout Los Angeles or spending time with his wife and two children. He also continues to teach mask, clown, and improv to kids in Los Angeles, which he finds immensely rewarding. Above all, Travis loves to make silly YouTube videos with his kids.
