Although he had always harbored a deep desire to pursue a career in acting, he initially decided to graduate from the English teaching department before eventually fulfilling his dream by winning a conservatory scholarship at the Anatolian University.
During his final year at the conservatory, he was selected as an exchange student and had the opportunity to attend classes at the renowned Alexander Zelwerowicz Acting School in Warsaw.
Upon his return to Turkey in 2007, he auditioned for the role of "Naz" in DOT's production of "Mercury Fur" and was subsequently chosen for the part.
Since then, he has been working with DOT on various productions, including "Shoot/ Get Treasure/ Repeat" and "Mandrel", earning numerous stage award nominations and wins for his performances.
His first film experience was in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful "Baska Dilde Ask/ Love In Another Language", in which he played the role of Kamuran, a young man who becomes reclusive after a brutal attack.
His second film, "The Monsters' Dinner", is a chaotic thriller shot in English and scheduled for release at the end of 2010.
He made his screen debut in "Sinif / The Class", playing a young man who is accidentally killed by his best friend and later haunted by his own death.
He also appeared in "Karamel" as a troubled son of a middle-class family and in "Kalp Agrisi / The Heart Pain" as an easy-going and honest interior designer.
However, it was his decision to play a gay character in the TV series "Mukemmel Cift/ The Perfect Couple" that garnered him widespread public attention.
At the time, he was presenting a children's show and was subsequently fired due to his role in the series.
In addition to his acting career, he also engages in translation work and writes plays.
