Tygo's television debut occurred at the tender age of twelve, when he appeared in a promotional video to bring the Olympic Games to the Netherlands. This early exposure led to widespread recognition in the Netherlands, particularly after his prominent role in the youth series Fort Alpha in 1996.
As his fame grew, Tygo began to land numerous guest appearances in various television shows, as well as leading roles in series such as De garage in 2000, Van Speijk in 2006, and Schnitzelparadijs - De serie in 2008.
In addition to his television work, Tygo has also made a name for himself in the world of feature films. Some of his most notable roles include appearances in Wasted! in 1996, De dominee in 2004, A Thousand Kisses in 2006, and Dunya & Desie in 2008.
Tygo's outstanding performances have earned him numerous accolades, including a Golden Calf for Best Actor for his leading role in the feature film Godforsaken in 2003. He also shared a Golden Calf for his role in the feature film Het schnitzelparadijs in 2005 with his four co-stars.
On stage, Tygo has taken on the leading role in the highly successful theatre production RAAF in 2009.
Furthermore, Tygo has established himself as a professional voice actor, lending his voice to various Disney animation characters.
