Tyler Dean Flores was born and raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Harlem, New York, where he discovered his passion for acting at a young age.
What began as a modeling career as a pre-teen to support his family eventually blossomed into an illustrious acting career, marked by his raw and impressive self-taped audition for Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises". Filmed in a Harlem hallway with his acting coach, the footage immediately caught the attention of producers, and Tyler booked the role of Mark just days after his eighth-grade graduation.
From his debut role in Nolan's "The Dark Knight Rises" to his portrayal of the true story of a young Miami-based artist killed by police in "Reefa", Tyler has consistently demonstrated his versatility and range in both blockbuster hits and gritty indie darlings.
Recently, Tyler took the lead in Netflix's newest comedy series "NEON", where he plays Santi, an aspiring Reggaeton artist who moves with his best friends from their small hometown in Florida to Miami in hopes of making it big in the world of Reggaeton. He also starred as Miguel in Hulu's coming-of-age comedy "Miguel Wants To Fight".
Tyler's extensive film and television credits include Marvel's "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", Netflix's award-winning series "When They See Us", and the 2021 Mob drama "The Birthday Cake", featuring Ewan McGregor, among others.
Complex has named Tyler one of the Top 20 Latino actors in Hollywood changing the game, solidifying his status as an actor to watch.
When he's not on set, Tyler can be found exploring his creative side through various forms of expression, including music, art, writing, DJ'ing, or simply enjoying a sandwich at the bodega with his friends.
