Born in 1982 in Jacksonville, Florida, Shields' photography career began to take shape in 2003, with his first book publication just two years later.
Throughout his illustrious career, Shields has showcased his work in over twenty solo exhibitions worldwide, including prestigious galleries such as Imitate Modern in London, England; Miller Gallery in Cincinnati, OH; Samuel Lynne Gallery in Dallas, TX; Guy Hepner Gallery in Los Angeles, CA; and Andrew Weiss Gallery in Santa Monica, CA.
